Which holidays fall next to a weekend?

2026. On a Monday or Friday: Good Friday (Friday 3 April), Easter Monday (Monday 6 April), Labour Day (Friday 1 May), Restoration of Independence Day (Monday 4 May), Christmas Day (Friday 25 December). On a Saturday or Sunday: Easter Sunday (Sunday 5 April), Mother's Day (Sunday 10 May), Whit Sunday (Sunday 24 May), Second day of Christmas (Saturday 26 December).

2027. On a Monday or Friday: New Year's Day (Friday 1 January), Good Friday (Friday 26 March), Easter Monday (Monday 29 March), Christmas Eve (Friday 24 December), New Year's Eve (Friday 31 December). On a Saturday or Sunday: Easter Sunday (Sunday 28 March), Labour Day (Saturday 1 May), Mother's Day (Sunday 9 May), Whit Sunday (Sunday 16 May), Christmas Day (Saturday 25 December), Second day of Christmas (Sunday 26 December).

What the source says. The closing day of the General Latvian Song and Dance Festival is also a holiday in festival years; it is not listed because we have no official date.
