2026. On a Monday or Friday: New Year holidays (Friday 2 January), Eid al-Fitr (Bajrami i Madh) (Friday 20 March), International Workers' Day (Friday 1 May), Christmas Day (Friday 25 December). On a Saturday or Sunday: Summer Day (Saturday 14 March), Nowruz (Sunday 22 March), Catholic Easter Sunday (Sunday 5 April), Orthodox Easter Sunday (Sunday 12 April), Day of the Canonisation of Saint Teresa (Saturday 5 September), Alphabet Day (Sunday 22 November), Flag and Independence Day (Saturday 28 November), Liberation Day (Sunday 29 November).
2027. On a Monday or Friday: none. On a Saturday or Sunday: none.
What the source says. Not an EU member, so there is no EU Official Journal cross-check. 2027 dates are not published yet. When a holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday, the rest day moves to the following working day or days; in 2026 the Bank of Albania is also closed on 16 and 23 March, 6 and 13 April, 7 September, 23 and 30 November and 1 December for that reason. The two Bajram dates follow the lunar calendar.
