What the source says. Not an EU member, so there is no EU Official Journal cross-check. Each holiday is kept on the day and the day after, except Njegoš Day (one day). If a holiday falls on a Sunday, the next two days are off; if its second day is a Sunday, the next day is off. 20 September, Ecological State Day, is a working day. Religious holidays are days off only for members of each faith.

How busy were the holiday months in 2025?

Each month's share of Montenegro's tourist nights (Eurostat, 2025), as on our Montenegro page, next to the 2026 holidays in that month. The figures do not show that holidays make a month busier or quieter, so we do not say they do.
