What the source says. Cyprus has no single national list of public holidays for all workers: the Department of Labour Relations says holidays are set by employment agreements, except for shop, leisure-centre and hotel staff, whose paid holidays are set in separate laws. The table shows the Central Bank of Cyprus bank holidays. The Assumption (15 August) and 26 December are also bank holidays but fall on a Saturday in 2026. 2027 dates are not published yet.
How busy were the holiday months in 2025?
Each month's share of Cyprus's tourist nights (Eurostat, 2025), as on our Cyprus page, next to the 2026 holidays in that month. The figures do not show that holidays make a month busier or quieter, so we do not say they do.
| Month | Holidays in 2026 | Share of 2025 |
|---|---|---|
| January | New Year’s Day, Epiphany Day | 1.6% |
| February | Green Monday | 2.0% |
| March | Greek Independence Day | 3.4% |
| April | Cyprus National Day, Good Friday (Greek Orthodox Church), Easter Monday (Greek Orthodox Church), Easter Tuesday (Greek Orthodox Church) | 7.7% |
| May | Labour Day | 10.2% |
| June | Pentecost | 12.4% |
| October | Cyprus Independence Day, Greek National Day | 12.8% |
| December | Christmas Day | 2.5% |
