Official statistics from five countries show where their residents travel in summer and winter: UK residents went to Spain most in both, Canadians to the United States of America, and Australians to Indonesia in June to August. Each country counts trips differently, so each has its own page.
Where people travel in each season, country by country
Each page uses the official statistics of one country, and each office counts differently (visits, trips, travellers coming home or departing passengers), so there is no combined world ranking here. Pick a country:

Why some countries are missing
We use only official statistics that may be reused on a commercial website. The United States sells its figures by destination for internal use only, the Netherlands publishes destinations by year only, and some sites could not be read or did not allow reuse. More countries may be added when their statistics allow it.
Key takeaways
- Each country's page uses its own official statistics.
- Quarters stand in for seasons where the source has no months, and are labelled.
- What we would skip: any "top destinations in the world" list that does not say whose travel it counts.
