Hotels only: apartments, campsites and rural homes are counted in other surveys. The numbers are INE's estimates. Left out because INE gives no figure for some months of 2025: Baleares (Illes): Isla De Menorca, Baleares (Illes): Islas De Ibiza-Formentera.

Key takeaways
- Spain-wide, 67% of the peak number of hotels were open in the quietest month of 2025.
- Widest gap among regions: the Balearic Islands; smallest: the Canary Islands.
- What we would skip: assuming a resort is as open in winter as in summer; check the tourist-zone row first.
