When is Kosovo busiest, and when is it quietest?
August had the most nights of stay in 2025, with 11.5% of the year. March had the fewest, with 5.1%, so August was 2.2 times as busy. July and August together carried 21.6% of the year.1 Months below an average month's share of 8.3%: February, March, April, November and December.
Residents or guests from abroad?
Guests living outside Kosovo spent 54.6% of 2025's nights of stay.1 Their busiest month was August and their quietest March; for guests living in Kosovo, the busiest was August and the quietest March.1

What exactly is counted?
KAS's hotel survey covers hotels and other accommodation units (NACE Rev.2 groups 55.10 and 55.20). It counts every main unit and a sample of the rest, and the results are weighted estimates.1 KAS publishes monthly figures by region; the national monthly figures here are our sums of the seven regions, which match KAS's published 2025 total.
That is not the same measure as the Eurostat figures behind our other European country pages, so we do not rank Kosovo against them. See Off-season in Europe for those.
What these figures cannot tell you
- Nights, not queues. A national total cannot show crowding at one sight, lake or old town.
- One year. These are 2025 figures; another year can differ.
- Estimates. The figures are weighted from a survey, and monthly figures for small regions can move a lot.
- We have not been there and make no judgement about when is best to visit.
